The clinic still needs about $10,000 to screen in the building and provide solar power as well as some painting and plastering. The building is finished and consists of 11 rooms with individual exam rooms, observation wards for critically ill patients, a pharmacy, a dental suite, a laboratory, and an office for the administrator. We still need solar panels and a batter to provide electricity to run the medical diagnostic devices that are considered essential in American hospitals: an EKG machine, a microscope, and lights to examine patients past sunset. The “Clinic Opening” team is now meeting biweekly to identify the next steps so we can move forward. Dr. Alison Smith, the founder of Sante Total and a trauma surgeon, dreams of one day completing a functional operating room. In the meantime, the clinic will serve as a primary and acute care office with a pharmacy and dispensary. Amount needed: $10,000
