Support Sante Total on Giving Tuesday

Dear friends of Sante Total,

Mesi Anpil (thank you so much), for your generous donations of time, energy, and money, and your willingness to help!  Sante Total is counting on your participation to continue our projects in Haiti.

Please lend us your support this giving Tuesday, November 28th!  Together, we can make a difference!

Why?  Because Haiti is still the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and the recent political turmoil has caused suffering in Jacsonville.  Our friends are struggling with cholera, inflation, gang violence, and gas, food and medication shortages. Gaby sends his greeting to all, saying “Hi guys.  I was lost in this crazy world.  Haiti is a headache continuously.  Consider what the riots did, the actions of the gangsters, Lord have mercy!  It is harder to administrate the activities in the community.  Anyway, we still have hope, another tomorrow is possible. Thank you for the support Sante Total is giving for the community.  It is a bright spot during a very difficult time.”

Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts!

Invest with us in Haiti.  You will not regret it!

2023 Accomplishments:
Cholera prevention:  The team visited 295 households, the school and churches in Jacsonville providing health education on modes of transmission, signs and symptoms and preventive measures.  They reached 1327 people, distributed 16 hand washing stations as well as soap and clorox to all the households and discussed water sanitation.

Medical care: We provided medical advice for the community through Telemedicine consults. We provided over $2000 to help patients pay for their surgery, hospitalizations and medications.

Permanent Medical Clinic:  The permanent clinic is basically done thanks to the Rotary Club of Ellicott City! The furnishings are almost done and we have purchased a microscope, centrifuge and other essential equipment.  The future Doctor has almost finished his training and the nurse has completed her training and has started working at the school and at the clinic doing blood pressure and blood sugar screenings.  We plan to hire a local physician to set up periodic clinics until the clinic is fully staffed.

-School Lunch Program:  We expanded the school lunch program and are providing daily lunches to all of the pupils and teachers of St. Rose of Lima School. When schools close due to political reasons, Gaby sends the food home monthly to help support the families. This is sadly often the only food the kids receive during the day.

-CHEAHP (Center for the Handicapped and Aged of Pignon): We supported weekly meetings, monthly meals and a Holiday party for the center.

-Educational Support:  We have invested over $18,000 dollars in scholarships for students who will help us staff the permanent clinic including:  one medical, one nursing, one pharmacy and one administrative student.

Thank you again for all your support in these difficult times.
