In the January trip we had 15 volunteers, coming from Baltimore, New Orleans, D.C., and San Francisco. During the trip, despite being a day shorter than usual, we saw over 500 patients! We were joined by a group of students from Virginia Tech who helped to do a complete organization and inventory of the surgical supplies. We were also able to inventory the pharmacy at the beginning and end of the trip, re-alphabetize the medical records, and organize the many pairs of glasses. Clinic on Saturday finished early and so we were able to take a walk around Jacsonville and see the new clinic building and the school, and a 5 day old goat! A new building with a kitchen has been built next to the mission house, and all of our meals were cooked on site for the first time. We were also excited to find tile floors and couches on the second floor of the mission house. Two members of the trip also met with the Rotary Club in Pignon to discuss fundraising for the clinic building.
