At the moment, Haiti CSR can only afford to send three students at a time to high school in neighboring Pignon, and this is not three students from every grade, but rather three students total. That means that only the smartest child from every class that finishes 9th grade at the school in Jacsonville can go on to further their education and have a shot at a better paying job. As it is, most people in Jacsonville, without money to further their education, will continue to scrape by on subsistence farming and the little extra money they earn from selling sugar cane in Pignon. Amount needed: $300 per student, per year
